Stan Wallace, a former Fighting Illini and Chicago Bears defensive back, opened Stan’s Gridiron in 1959. The bar operated until 1975 when the legendary KAMS made a comeback in its place. In 2019, as a part of the KAMS transition into a new building, Stan’s Gridiron was reopened as one of three bars inside the new KAMS bar complex. We were thrilled at the opportunity to create a brand, signage and apparel to help bring this old favorite back to life for a new generation of patrons.
